STUDENTS’ PROBLEMS AND STRATEGIES IN LEARNING
LISTENING COMPREHENSION
This study is conducted to provide a scientific investigation on the students’ problems and strategies in learning listening comprehension. The results of the study are expected to provide not only theoretical significance, but also practical one for the teachers of English. especially those who have great interest in the teaching of listening comprehension.
Theoretically, the study can support the theory of second or foreign language learning in that sufficient practice of listening and input facilitate language mastery. 0n the other hand, the practical significance of the study is to provide the teachers of English with current findings related to foreign or second language teaching and to provide them with empirical evidence on the strategies employed by the students to solve their problems in learning listening comprehension.
